Jacob Rees-Mogg announces promised bill restricting automatic release of terror convicted prisoners

House of Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg has announced the government will today introduce its promised bill restricting the automatic release of prisoners convicted of terror offences.

The bill is a reaction to recent terror attacks on London Bridge and in Streatham, which were committed by recently released prisoners.

He says tomorrow's Commons business will now be a debate on the bill. The government wants to complete all Commons stages of the bill on Wednesday.
