We are committed towards ensuring easy access to education for Girls: Smriti Irani With the International Women's Day coming up on 8th March, Union Minister of Women & Child Development, Smriti Irani called government's 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign a success by stating that it has led to a 25% increase in enrolment of girls in 2018-19 compared to 2013-14 across all lelvels of education, with 6.18 lakh girls from disadvantaged groups enrolled across 4,881 operational Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. In addition, 28,549 girls have been sanctioned total of Rs. 8.56 crore under National Schemes of Incentives to girls for Secondary Education. Due to this scheme, girls continue to outshine in CBSE Class XII as well as Class X.
