Actually many people do not know that there is a mountain top called Knuckles in Knuckles forest. The name Knuckles is said to have been given to Knuckles mountain as it appears to have been taken by someone's hand.
Bambarella is also an area where you can visit several waterfalls. Knuckles Falls, located at the foot of the Knuckles Mountains, is about 8 km from Hawagala Knuckles Mistley Holiday Home. It is such a beautiful scene on the way after Babaralla, Dhevatagala, But the road is little bit difficult. You can see the beautiful Knuckles Falls as you walk into the jungle for about 500 meters along the viewer's road. This fall begin in the upper part of the Huluganga which is 15 metres high.
Knuckles Mountain was known by the British surveyors but was traditionally known as the Dumbara Mountains by the Sinhalese. The mountain has been designated as a World Heritage Site. The beauty of the place increases due to the changing weather conditions and dense fog. And if you say so, you can see five peaks and seven waterfalls. And while walking in the reserve, we can see the monks living abroad, who are just art lovers. These range have unconditional beauty and good cold climate.
There is a village called Redbana which was abandoned in Knuckles. This village was built in the 1980s. In this village there were lot of families with facilities like a school and a ground. But with the time all the people in the city abandoned this village.
Even today in the Knuckles Reserve you can see the ruins of this school among the trees and the school's play ground has been so weedy. There is so much to talk about Knuckles which will never end. The top of the Knuckles is Duwili alla.
