FAILED TO CATCH IT!!! Fremont Into the Evening Finding the ACE Charger - feat. Crossing Malfunction!

FAILED TO CATCH IT!!! Fremont Into the Evening Finding the ACE Charger - feat. Crossing Malfunction! In this video, we will be spending a late afternoon into the evening of trains at FMT, the Fremont / Centerville Capitol Corridor Station. The reason we were all the way out here today is because we were going on a mission to look for the new Siemens SC-44 Charger. Want to know why? Because recently ago, @Worldwide Rail Productions happened to post a video of something like that in a video of trains at Tamien including an ACE Test train with the ACEX Charger numbered 3110 trailing on that! And @Worldwide Rail Productions, if you are watching this, YOUR VIDEO YOU posted with ACEX 3110 gave me the idea of trying to look for it out here! So basically you just gave me Railfanning Inspiration! Unfortunately, we were not able to catch it probably because they're on test trains still if I'm right. However, there was also a change, because ACE was being re-timed for some reason today, with ACE 104 leaving SJC approximately 10 minutes later than it would, and ACE 106 leaving SJC 2 hours and 20 minutes later than it would. More off additionally, there was also some crossing malfunctions going on today due to a tractor working on the tracks. In conclusion, as well as Amtrak 738 and 742 having approximately 1 hour between each other due to the ACE re-timing, I also thought about doing some busfanning on AC Transit with buses crossing on Fremont Boulevard. I was additionally joined up by Eastside HD Videos until after Amtrak 738 left along with a friend of ours that boarded 741 from OKJ to here. Bus Routes in this video include AC Transit's 99 and 210, with bus models being 40 foot Gillig Advantage Low-Floors. Enjoy!

Train 1: Sometime after we got here, and as I finished using the lavatory at El Patio, a Westbound VERY SHORT Union Pacific Empty Intermodal Services passes Platform 2 around 4:13 PM using C44AC 7108 and ES44AC 5546. Nice K3LA on 7108. However, I had to use Eastside HD Videos' shot of it and trim it a bit because I noticed I accidentally did NOT hit the record button until I thought this train appeared. And Eastside HD Videos, if you're watching this, I hope YouTube doesn't Copyright your video!

Train 2: 15 minutes after that, ACE 104 approaches Platform 1 around 4:28 PM using Cabcar 3304 and F40PH-3C's 3105 and 3103. Nice LOUD K5LA on 3304! This is what I was hoping that would have the ACE Charger on it, but we didn't catch it, a Doubleheader F40 is at least fine for now. This train is formed of 4 Coaches.

Train 3: Amtrak 741 approaches Platform 2 operating about 8 minutes late around 4:36 PM using F59PHI 2013 and Cabcars 8306 and 8314. Nasty horn on CDTX 2013! I wasn't asking for 2013 to sound ever like this, I thought it sounded pretty fine to me at first, but now it sounds completely like shit! You can also see that 8306 was Coach Number 3 on the train facing Southbound just like 2013. This train is formed of 6 Coaches.

Train 4: Next up after that nasty horn, Amtrak 738 appears in the distance around 4:44 PM and approaches Platform 1 using Cabcar 6964 and F59PHI 2012. Nice LOUD and tough K5LA on 6964! I haven't seen this Cabcar again for eternity! It's great to catch it with a hard tough NOISY K5LA tune! This train is formed of 4 Coaches.

Train 5: Approximately 1 hour after doing some busfanning, Amtrak 742 appears in the distance around 5:45 PM and approaches Platform 1 using Cabcar 6965 and SC-44 2103. Nice engineer on 6965! Well, the ACE Charger wasn't around, but at least CDTX 2103 will do for now. This train is formed of 5 Coaches.

Train 6: After we got into El Patio again for dinner, and right as we ordered, Minorly Delayed Amtrak 743 approaches Platform 1 operating 12 minutes late around 6:17 PM. Nice driver on CDTX 2003! You can also see there's a Superliner for Coach Number 3 in the centre of the train. We had a delicious meal at El Patio! Great Carnitas I have to say! Their buffalo wings were great as well! This train is formed of 5 Coaches.

Train 7: Approximately sometime after we got back, Amtrak 744 appears in the distance around 7:08 PM and approaches Platform 1 using Cabcars 8314 and 8306 and F59PHI 2013. Nice horn on CDTX 8314! Sorry for all the talking in the background, some idiot was just complaining like a troublemaking barnacle mouth brother for some irrelevant reasons. This train is the same consist we observed on 741 and is formed of 6 Coaches. Thanks for watching!

Filmed: Saturday, February 29th, 2020. Happy Leap Year Everybody!

Note: In the slideshow, I also included a screenshot of CDTX F59PHI 2008 on Amtrak 736 our friend took before boarding 741.

Side Note: But wait! There's just a little bit more! After we ended our time at FMT, we thought it would be also a good idea to chase 744 down to BKY - Berkeley! And we did! We did expect to see ACE 106 after, but the train indicator just changed the arrival time to 7:50 PM.

Thanks for watching!

Malfunction!
