The court decision to award $8 million to two mentally deranged men held in prison without trial for decades has laid bare perceived shortcomings in the judicial system. Former health minister Sarah Flood Beaubraun said the decision by judge Godfrey Smith should elicit a deeper look at mental illness and the criminal justice system in Saint Lucia.
