You actually have an extra 24 hours. What are you going to do with it?
Here are something you can achieve in these extra hours to set yourself up for success as a freelancer
1. Build out your portfolio. Portfolios are necessary for freelancing. Portfolios are a way for prospects to get to know your work and what you are capable of. Portfolios are your place to brag about your skills.
You are more than capable of building out a portfolio in 24 hours. There are several platforms you can use for building a portfolio
- Wix, Square Space, Webflow, Wordpress-- buy a template and start building
2. Start a blog. Blogging and creating content is a way to build authority online around a particular topic and a great way to become an expert. And you don't need to build your own blog if that is your excuse on why you can't blog. Here are some options for you:
- start blogging on LinkedIn -- you already have the audience right there and you can utilize your audience on there
- start blogging on Medium -- they already have active users and you can use hashtags to show up in their search result around the topic you are writing about
-
3. Make your LinkedIn more professional looking to attract clients. If you want to look at a professional profile go check out my LinkedIn profile. Making your profile searchable and appealing to prospects is important for having a strong profile on LinkedIn. Here are five quick tips:
- Add keywords to your LinkedIn title
- Add your work history related to your skill
- Add your latest projects under the Accomplishment sections
- Add your skills ( programming languages, design tools, etc)
- DM your co-workers or previous co-workers for endorsements
4. While you are on LinkedIn start building out your connections. Start connecting with people in your industry. You can connect with me there if you want. But building out your connections on LinkedIn will give you a stronger profile in the eyes of LinkedIn and it will also help you reach people at companies you want to work at or work with as a freelancer.
5. And the last tip I have for you to do with this extra 24 hours is to start building that idea you have. Whether it is an app idea, a physical product, online courses, start building it. You have an extra 24 hours don't let me go to waste. Do something meaningful and impactful for your own life!

♡ About Me ♡
Hi, my name is Brandy Morgan and my hubby is Josh aka Thor. Our mission with our channel is to document/ vlog our lives together (married) while both growing businesses and taking on new clients.
Our background: I went to Full Sail University and got a degree in Web Development and Design along with a ton of student loan debt. Josh didn’t go to college and has had a very successful career as a software developer. He started his software company with his 2 brothers 3 years ago. They don’t do things like Silicon Valley, as in VC money, but instead take on agency work to pay for their other team members' salaries and business expenses. He employees two software developers out of India who are like family to us and we hope to hire more.
Our goal is to become internet billionaires, dream big, right?! :) No "overnight" success here just progress, daily! We hope you enjoy learning from our mistakes and successes and how to apply them to your life.
