Without doubt and questioning, we limit our growth of learning, insight, and understanding. A great amount of suffering comes from our inability to be flexible, especially regarding our certainty of beliefs about ourselves and others.

As collective humanity, we belong to each other—we’re ALL family. And rather than looking at diversity as something to fear or be uncomfortable with, it’s actually truly beautiful to see the world through someone else’s eyes. To listen, to ask questions, to learn, and experience. Sure, there will always be things that initially make us uncomfortable, but that is the very essence of human growth. Thus, our invitation is to create spaciousness between our certainties.

Alaric is an expert in human behavior and psychology, with a deep fondness for Zen philosophy. He often combines the two, offering unique wisdoms that promote mind-body healing for clients and students as they apply the peace teachings in daily life. His book, Living Peace, introduces the nine teachings and practices that have become known as the Living Peace Code. In 2018 he and his husband, Andrew, moved to Bayfield, Colorado and founded the Church of Dunisha. Today, Alaric manages the Dunisha Sanctuary—a lodge and retreat center—while continuing to teach, write, and lead community services.
