Pride Transport is in the spotlight today. Many of you astute viewers have written in about Pride Transport and how they treat drivers very good. I agree. The reviews of Pride Trucking are very good. In this Pride Transport Review I give the good and the bad of the place and I talk about Pride Transport training, Pride Transport trucks, the Pride Transport Pet Policy and some about those 13 speed Pride Transport Trucks. Do they even have any left? I bet they are hard to get. You do not need experience at Pride Transport but you do need a CDL license to get hired. They do not provide CDL Training. Pride Transport has things like paid holidays, guaranteed detention pay and a new mattress in the trucks. Also, no slip seating the sleeper trucks. I like that. What I can't get over is the fact that in phase 2 of training you are team trained as they call it. This is where the trainer is sleeping while you are driving. I think this should not be allowed by anyone and it should be outlawed by the FMCSA. No one would allow this in any other industry but it is getting common in the trucking industry. I am also not a fan of optimized idle. I really didn't know anyone used this anymore but here we are. The truck stops and starts its engine while you are sleeping to maintain the temperature. It is annoying to you and very annoying to your neighbors who are also trying to get some sleep. No driver facing cameras is a plus. There is no listed guaranteed weekly pay and I think that is becoming a must today with the sitting you could be doing. Some companies say they average more than a minimum and so I say pay a minimum and you will hardly ever have to actually pay it. The more experience you have I think this is better than the less experience you have. That team training is no way to train new drivers. Pride Transport
