What does a ticket get me in Safari Zone Philadelphia
If you’re going for the most basic ticket, you’ll gain access to the potential to catch an interesting batch of Pokemon that you might not otherwise find in the area. That includes the following, all found during the event specifically within the bounds of Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
• Shiny Voltorb*
• Alolan Sandshrew
• Unown P
• Bronzor
• Rufflet
• Mr. Mime
Voltorb will appear in both standard and Shiny Voltorb form. The regular version is red and white, like a Pokeball, while the Shiny Voltorb version is white and blue. And that’s it! If you just pay the standard or “early access” fee (see Ticket Prices below) for this event, you get access to those Pokemon during the event, inside the park.
City Explorer
The basic event is inside the park, the City Explorer event extends the entire city of Philadelphia.
• 10 City Explorer Raids on a 72-hour timer*
• 5-star raids: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres (3 raids)
• 2-star raid: Braviary (1 raid)
• 5-star raids: (Legendary Pokémon and EX Raid Pokemon “available in general” during the event) (2 raids)
• 1, 2, 3, 4-star raids: Not yet defined (4 raids)
*These raids will be placed on Pokemon Gym locations chosen in partnership with the City of Philadelphia. No Premium Battle Passes will be needed for these raids, all access is included with the City Explorer ticket.
Other bonuses for City Explorers in Philadelphia:
• 1/2 Hatch Distance for eggs placed into Incubators inside the city for City Explorers
• Exclusive Field Research tasks throughout the city for City Explorers
• 4-hour Lure Modules when placed by City Explorers
• 1-hour Incense duration within the city for City Explorers
Ticket Prices
Digital admission tickets for this event will go on sale on Monday, February 24, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. EST / 5:00 a.m. PST. There’ll be two sorts of tickets for sale, General Admission and Early Access. General admission tickets will be $12, and early access tickets will be $18, plus taxes and fees.
The only difference between the basic tickets, besides the extra $6, is the ability to “access event gameplay early and receive two additional hours of gameplay.” The standard event spans Friday, May 8, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, May 10, at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
The extra “City Explorer Pass” will be available for an additional $8 USD – and you need to buy the general admission or early access ticket in order to get the City Explorer Pass.
So you could potentially be paying $26, total, for the early access admission plus City Explorer Pass for this event. If you decide to skip the 2 extra hours, you’ll still be paying a cool $20 USD with City Pass included.
The big event takes place from Friday, May 8, to Sunday, May 10, 2020. It’ll be rolling in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and it’ll be jam-PACKED with Pokemon GO fans and Pokemon trainers of all sorts, the whole event long!
