Houston Water Supply Network Flooded Loop 610 main lanes, roads flooded by broken water line in east A broken water main has flooded all lanes of East Loop 610 near Clinton, where the line erupted late Thursday morning, and the city is asking east Houston residents to conserve water as they fix the leak, officials said.
Erin Jones, spokeswoman for Houston Public Works, said their crews are assessing what sprang the leak on Clinton Drive and that any sign of low water pressure throughout the city is likely from the water main issue. Laundry, showers and other uses of water in east Houston should be avoided for the time being, she said.
